I guess you deviated from the know-nothing line at AoS, a true moron blog.
It's typical of the asskissers who mostly comment there to run off and look for some personal attack.

Well, that's possible. I'm on the palace MWR computer at the moment. I usually log in from work, which is a different network (not a .mil or MWR network).
BTW,
I happen to like AoS- it's a funny blog. Do I take it seriously? Of course not- neither does the proprieter most of the time. And Icus, of the little bit of your commentary I've seen, we don't agree on a lot of things.
I just don't like people making accusations that aren't true, and I was surprised as can be to be pulled into a discussion I had not even noticed until then.
Sometimes I've got so paranoid about blog comments being traced back to me that I've gone to that internet cafe on Blackhawk. Sure, you and I don't agree on everything, but at least we have some grounding in reality. We know how it is to have a rocket land in close proximity and dive to the ground, like I've done fairly recently, and how scary it is to roll out the gate.
Yes, AoS is a funny blog, sometimes intentionally, often unintentionally. I do get a little disgusted by tough-talking lardasses braying for war when they have no idea what it's like. Plus, what are these guys (they are all guys, AoS commenters, more than any blog I know) so freaking angry about? It's like they are pissed about being rejected by women, having shitty bosses, etc. So it all get projected on liberals, Muslims, Mexicans or whatever.
Most commenters on blogs are guys- on most every blog I know of. Anyway, you seem to be getting very invested in your interpration of their motives.
Personally, I don't care that much. If someone has something worthwhile, I'll listen. If they're bloviating, then I ignore it. If it's factually wrong, I try to challenge it. That's the best way to change someone's mind- challenge them with facts. Being insulting and making personal attacks is rarely worth the time.
And I don't know that those folks really ARE all that angry, especially not all the time. Sounds like you're projecting emotion onto textual media that is not necessarily true. Remember how hard it is to convey emotion via text-only and be a little restrained/deliberate yourself, and see how much the communciation channel improves.
And what's to be paranoid about "having a blog comment traced back"? I make a channel of communication open- I can be emailed through my blog. I don't check that account every day, but it's there. I also let people comment. I even have a (admittedly low res) picture of my self up there. I think it's important to NOT be completely anonymous- no more than is necessary for my physical safety.
I don't say anything legally actionable, and I maintain opsec. Anything else is just my opinion, and clearly stated as my opinion alone.
