One never knows how one will react but I have always thought that if I was in that situation I'd rather die trying.
I made a decision before I came here. I know that no one can say for sure what they will do in such a situation, but I resolved and affirm to my self just about daily, that I will not be taken alive.
I will not put my family through the spectacle of seeing me begging for my life and being tortured and beheaded in a video.
Your chances of making it out of a hostage/kidnapping situation decrease drastically if they take you anywhere.
I have also taken precautions I can't talk about here.
