Now, you SEE? Humanity really is split across an important axis here; this is just the latest evidence. Male/female doesn't capture it, and neither does anything in Myers-Briggs.
Yeah. Sowell;s constrained vs. unconstrained vision is the best description, but ti doesn't reduce easily to a bumper sticker.
You know, I didn't even blink at this one. Since he shares the honors with such prior recipients as Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Yasser Arafat, it's been glaringly obvious to me for a long time that the Peace prize has nothing to do with peace and everything to do with a particular brand of politics - a brand that seems to be indifferent, in Arafat's case, to the amount of innocent blood that drenches one's hands.
Yeah, in retrospect, it's not out of line, but I was blindsided by it: just not expecting it.
At least the usual suspects have been around for a while. You can see it being a good ole' boys club of useless parasites mostly, but you just gotta admire Obama for being able to worm his way into that rarefied atmosphere so quickly, with no real time served.
A lot of the others' "accomplishments" are of a dubious nature as to positive or negative effect, but at least they paid their dues, I guess.
